FAQs

1. Why does my wax look “frosted” when it cools down?

Soy wax candle melts can appear to look “frosted” which is a normal occurrence with pure soy wax and is considered a cosmetic issue rather than a quality issue. Tiny crystals form on the wax surface as it cools; it doesn’t affect the candle’s burn or scent, just the appearance.

2. How many wax cubes should I put in my wax warmer?

How many wax cubes you should use depends on the size of your wax warmer tray. Typically, small or medium-sized warmers might only need 1-2 cubes while larger trays or more powerful warmers may require 3-4 cubes.

The key is to create a large enough melt pool to allow the fragrance to fill your space effectively, but not to overload it to the point where the wax doesn’t melt evenly. It’s always a good idea to start with fewer cubes and adjust based on your desired scent strength and how well the wax melts.

3. Are your candle melts safe for use around pets?

We would not be comfortable saying any fragrance is 100% pet safe as you never know what any particular animal might have sensitivity to. Consult with your veterinarian prior to using any fragrance in your home.

4. Why is there a difference in color between fragrance varieties?

Change in color of non-dyed candle wax melts can often be attributed to the ingredients in fragrance oils. Fragrance oils, especially those that are made with natural or botanical extracts, can cause the wax to discolor over time. The oils may contain compounds like, essential oils, citrus, or certain resins, which can react with the wax, leading to color changes.
